Announcing the Final Farewell concerts: October 21-22, 2023
After 47 years comprising thousands of concerts on multiple continents, dozens of recordings, and definitive performances of the greatest works in the literature, the Emerson String Quartet will say goodbye to its listeners on October 22, 2023, from the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center stage. The quartet will be joined by former cellist and founding member David Finckel in Schubert's immortal Quintet in C Major.
Three seminal works, chosen by the players, sum up the group’s lifetime of dedication to the classics of the quartet repertoire.
